Misty Nichols is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Misty started her career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2005. She worked as a CNA in home care until she obtained her Associate of Science degree in Nursing at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN in 2011. Misty was awarded the Frank Turner Endowed Nursing Scholarship and graduated with honors. She obtained her Registered Nurse Licensure in 2011. Misty completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2013 at King University in Bristol, TN and graduated with distinction. Misty graduated from Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, TN with a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus of Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022.
Misty has 12 years of robust nursing experience as a Registered Nurse. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including ICU, Emergency Department, Home Health Care, and surgical services in the Pre-Operative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Misty is excited to join Alliance Pain Management and collaborate with Dr. Pepper to provide comprehensive pain management to the community.

Dr. Todd Pepper is a physician versed in medical and interventional pain management, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Pepper is an accomplished leader as Medical Director of multiple outpatient pain clinics, a skilled educator proficient in teaching residents, fellows, pain clinics licensed providers, and attendings from various specialties. Dr. Pepper is an adaptable and industrious professional demonstrating flexibility in accommodating corporate demands and patient scheduling needs. Dr. Pepper has an attentive level of detail and commitment to excellence in patient care, medical legal implications of practice. Dr. Pepper advocates for a multimodal approach to pain management sensitive to public, legislative and professional focus on opioid abuse.

Fellowship: Interventional Pain Management, Temple University/Western Pennsylvania Hospital Campus, 2006 Completed 12 months interventional pain management fellowship; instructed in interventional pain management procedures by anesthesia/pain management fellowship certified physicians. Performed large numbers of peripheral nerve blocks (greater and lesser Occipital, lateral femoral cutaneous, etc.), sympathetic plexus (stellate, celiac, lumbar, impar) injections, epidural (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) blocks and rhizotomies, selective cervical and lumbar nerve root blocks, lumbar percutaneous disc decompression, IDET, and spinal cord stimulator trials. Neurosurgical training in spinal cord stimulation trialing and implantation, occipital nerve simulation, and intrathecal medication pump trialing and implantation.
Managed pain consultation service at Western Pennsylvania Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital (including varied etiologies of chronic pain, acute pain, cancer pain, and epidural catheters).
